BBL Photofacial

Intense pulsed light (IPL) and BroadBand Light (BBL) technology uses powerful, pulsed light to achieve skin improvement, and is commonly called a Photofacial. The procedure is sometimes called a photofacial, though it can be used on any area of the body. The highly adjustable device allows the clinician to select the most appropriate settings for each patient’s skin type and specific concerns. We use BBL which is offers more individualized and targeted results, as it enables treatment of multiple skin conditions with various wavelengths seamlessly using change-on-the-fly Smart Filters. It induces tissue coagulation, which helps firm the skin and restore it to a more youthful state.

Photothermal energy also targets melanin to improve pigmentation issues and it acts on spider veins and broken capillaries thus reducing or eliminating facial redness. Because this treatment is especially gentle, most people are good candidates. However, it is important to tell Dr. Z about any medications that you are taking, because extreme light sensitivity can be a side effect of certain drugs.

This is a popular facial treatment, and it can be used on other areas of the body as well, such as sun damage or brown spots on the arms, neck, chest, or legs.

IPL/BBL treatment is an excellent solution for treating:

  • Fine Wrinkles

Recovery and Results

There is little to no downtime associated with phototherapy. Red areas may begin fading immediately, but full results might take some time to develop. Brown spots may initially appear darker as the skin prepares to shed them. After a while, these spots flake off, revealing a more youthful, radiant, even-toned complexion.

Restore your skin to its natural beauty with our BBL Treatments.
